Second bottle of this in the past year. It’s deep, complex, and drinking really well now. A little note of barnyard adds a dimensional to the deep ripe fruit and deep granite on the nose. It’s dry and very deep on the palate. Deep savory and mineral notes are prominent, nicely augmenting the dark fruit. Nice but soft acids. A teensy little bit drying on the finish, so this is definitely designed for the table, where it will shine with stews and braises and pasta and . . . — 4 months ago

Millésime 2015!! Magnifique! Matière mur, corps gourmand et élancé. Éclat aromatique passant par les fruits noirs, les épices douces, la liqueur de fruit. J'ai adoré. — 10 years ago
Exquisite Chardonnay from a small chateau in the Maconnais. Full disclosure: made by my family for centuries, now owned by my cousins Genevieve & Jean-François Combier. Wish we could get it here in the U.S.! I drew the label years ago — 11 years ago
Light, smooth, and with tartness (acid). A perfect pairing with meat or a rich meal. If you like lighter reds and come across this one, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a true delight. — 6 months ago

My experience with Beajoulais Blanc has been unmemorable at best, until now. Very alive in the mouth, slight, pickled apple notes and tonic soda snap to the finish. Nice balance to acid that refreshes palate to return for more. Really nicely done, & a surprise. — 6 months ago
Blackberry, black pepper, meat juice... This is textbook Syrah from Northern Rhône. The palate is a model of balance. Sheer acid and great matter. Good width and a lively mouthfeel. Pointy tannins a bit of a grain in mid palate. Very long finish with blackberry and those meat juice notes that are consistent with the nose. This is probably much too early to open it and I think it'd be better with food, but this is one of the best crozes I've had so far along with some cuvées from Combier. Great stuff! — 4 years ago
