Presented to me double-blind. The wine appears a deep burnished golden color with medium+ viscosity. Notes of baked apples, white flowers, chamomile minerals and a petrol thing. On the palate, medium+ acid. Confirming the fruit but the apples are spiced and there’s a slightly nutty, oxidized thing going. Alcohol seems elevated too. Loads of character. The color and oxidization suggested it was a combo of style and age; I figured 10-15 years. I vacillated between Alsatian Riesling GC or a Chenin from the Loire by a great producer. Ultimately, I called 2010 Savennières as it actually reminded me of Joly’s “Clos de la Bergerie”. LOL! Close!!! These Huet Sec’s age amazing 🥲. — 4 years ago

Lemon, slate, herbs, a touch of wet wool at first but it blew off. Vibrant and long. — 4 years ago
Crisp, clean, dry, and fresh. Mineral driven with medium to fine bubbles and a crisp citrus, high acid finish. Nothing flashy, but a solid sipper. — 4 years ago

This app is deteriorating quickly and has been for a few weeks. “Waiting to Submit” lingered at first, but now label ID takes forever or doesn’t work at all. Descriptions and ratings get lost or duplicated in the comments. Geolocation is completely FUBAR. Expert review also absent. I’m hoping this is temporary or merely a conflict with the new Apple iOS, but these bugs are new and feel unattended from developers. On the positive side, the Vinous app seems to be stable. —this Gringet was awesome, btw. — 23 days ago
