Ripe dark fruit, some raspberry, and black pepper. Kind of jammy. Really big, bold, and enjoyable! — 7 years ago
Belle découverte, vin avec encore un petit côté vanillé mais très bien intégré grâce au terroir solaire. Pour une fois ça ne sent pas trop le miel, c’est assez tendu — 8 years ago
Lite ljusare. Animalisk doft, rutten frukt. Fräsch bärig smak. Ganska lätt och elegant. Ung.

Glass-staining ruby. Smoke- and spice-tinged dark berry, cherry and violet scents pick up a hint of licorice with air. In a fleshy, generous style, showing very good depth and appealing sweetness to the cherry preserve and cassis flavors, which take on a spicy aspect on the back half. Smooth, even tannins frame a long, smoky finish that leaves a hint of bitter chocolate behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, April 2020)

Give this lots of air. First night it was unfriendly. Night 2, however, different story. Perfumed nose of lillies, tropical fruit, funky minerals. Intense and clingy, the fruit is intense in the front half of the palate, but fades quickly leaving a low acid bitter note. It’s got a lot of character, but I’m learning that I’m just not a Marsanne guy. — 8 years ago

Habrard st jo 16. Private note.
A bit of ripe trash on the nose. Actually quite nasty.
Palate is good. Fresh medium cherry fruit. Nice texture. — 6 years ago
Stunning nose. Super floral and mint. Wow, what florals. Stunning minerality. So precise and pungent. Fresh wool, tweed. What a nose. Palate is full and I mean FULL of fruit, but then it’s backed up by major granite minerality and a lovely savory beefiness. This is really classy and refined. Amazing sweetness that turns so quickly to mineral and then finishes again with a squeeze of blackberry. Wow. What structure, energy and just stunning purity. Insane finesse. Like a Hermitage. A rock star of a Crozes. — 7 years ago
