Well balanced, complex flavor. — 11 years ago
Hint of blueberry and spices gives it a nice body. It is not sweet but a very balanced flavor. — 7 years ago
A little more complex and earthier than the Cuvée Paul. Needs a lot of air to enjoy its complexity. Needs a few more years to reach its full potential. — 10 years ago
wonderful Chateauneuf, full bodied & reasonably priced — 12 years ago
Wish I had decanted. First glass was good, but last glass was excellent. — 6 months ago

The label also says “Le Mourre de la Caille,” but I’m not sure if that’s just a motto for the domaine or it’s a different cuvée. It’s a 70/20/10 GSM. Only 14% alcohol. The nose is invitingly fruity, with deep spicy dark berry fruit and a little of the old time Southern Rhone iodiney minerality. Mouthfilling, with deeply fruity, low-toned dark berry fruity and savory flavors. It’s ripe but not too ripe or jammy. And there’s quite a bit of soft tannin buried under the fruit-alanche. I really like this. — 2 months ago
