A unique wine for sure. Cairanne Blanc. Upon opening nose is a bit mute with some passing yellow fruits framed by a distant minerality. Palate is rich with lots of texture and opulence but also freshness and acids. Complex like you won't believe and beautifully textured and deep. Such freshness and acids. Really mineral finish and wonderful now but holding stuff in reserve. Will be fun to see where this goes. — 9 years ago

Interesting; this taste like a combination of cherry black licorice liqueur, potpourri, cherry pie, black tea leaves, graphitet wet soil, boysenberry, eucalyptus, almost sweet, no tannins!

I am leaning towards the 2011! Thoughts? 🤷‍♀️🤔
I tried to put the vintage as 2112..Delectable would not go for it! Yep..my generation check!

Holy Mourvèdre. Marcel Richaud does it again. Huge nose of dark blackberry fruits. Menthol. Such depth. Brooding. The palate is big, dense and flavorful but with wonderful acidity that gives this big wine tremendous freshness. My rating may be conservative as this opens up. — 12 years ago
