Another fantastic sour from Firestone Walker, the UnderCurrants is terrific. Nose is loaded with aromas of dried berries, black currants (shocking), and a subtle funk that really brings it all together. Great tartness on the palate, but with a delicacy that’s really impressive. Great stuff! — 8 years ago

Deeper than a cab but with the same big, smooth flavors. Very happy with this one. — 9 years ago
Good. Hard to get this type of beer made well. This is not woodsy or muddled in grain. Good, rich, balanced. — 3 years ago
Lovely! Deep rich cherry red color and nose. Very dry with a light oak flavor, great tannins. This would be amazing with ribeye. — 6 years ago
Smelled buttery and caramel, did not get a lot of fruit, taste of rhubarb, spices, caramel, oaky. I enjoyed it a lot. Not a favorite of my class though! Heinens Pinot Noir class. — 7 years ago
A savory nose of roasted red pepper and marinated black olives makes this wine from the Santa Ynez Valley’s first estate winery stand out from the crowd. There are green elements that some may consider unwanted, but the round, peppery spiciness makes for an intriguing, distinctive palate. This would go well with a New York strip and could stand up to prime rib with horseradish.

Firestone is the oldest vineyard in Santa Barbara and thanks to Rosie, we had a really fun tasting experience here. We picked up this bottle because of the lush dark fruit rolled-in-baking-spice flavor, and the aftertaste that was pure American Spirit tobacco. — 9 years ago
This is number 5 and probably my favorite so far. — 9 years ago
2017 Bravo - Imperial Brown Ale
Deep caramel brown with light brown head. Dark nose with caramelized brown sugar, molasses, and honey with a little heat. Can tell it's a a high alcohol level get drunk from just smelling it. A little creamy and syrupy too. Full bodied and long finish. Could easily go with some dessert. — 9 years ago
