Vinarija Chichateau, belo, Fabula mala a bela, chardonnay, 2019. Svetla, slamno-zlatna boja, na prvi miris blago cvetna aroma zatim jače limeta., kruška. Suvo vino sa blagim prijatnim kiselinama, umerene jačine, lep balans, lagano ka srednjem telu, voćni aftertaste u skladu sa primarnim aromama. Odličan chardonnay. — 5 years ago

We had this with Oxtail dinner at Rattray’s in Mala Mala last night.
Not my usual detailed notes. This is ripe & lush like the Nederburg but with more complexity.
The palate showed ripe and slightly candied fruits of; dark currants, blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries and a hint of blue fruits. Nice softly layered baking spices, dark chocolate, mocha, rich, dark soils, some dry top, well done granitic minerals and fresh red and dark florals. The acidity round & beautiful. The finish, ripe, lush, well balanced & polished. Good QPR here.
Photos of, today’s Mala Mala sunrise, baby calf elephant along with the nearly 40 in the herd and a total of over 100 Elephants seen today, playful male dominance of the Giraffe’s intertwining and smacking necks/mid section and the grand prize, male spotted Leopard. An amazing finish to our last day. — 7 years ago
Nice minerality. Enjoyed at Mala — 8 years ago
Very nice. Held up to a well reduced and very spicy long roasted tomato sauce which dressed a tubular pasta. Fairly soft tannins. Deep in flavor and texture. Another northeastern Italian. The wines here are very intriguing. Keep em coming folks — 9 years ago

WEA tasting. 1% Viognier but I’m not intense enough to tell. Smells almost creamier/ more subtle, not crazy tannins. Mala pepper. Blackberries/ black fruit — 5 years ago
Insane amphorae orange made with red-skinned Xarel-lo (which I had no idea existed). — 6 years ago
Another great day game driving in Mala Mala.
We had this Cabernet with Ostrich at Rattray’s. The Ostrich delicious. If you haven’t had Ostrich, it’s very good...comparable to a very good Sirloin Strip only better.
No well detailed notes on the Cabernet. However, it’s quite good. The wine is; ripe, round, lush and full body. Nice fruits of; blackberries, blueberries and dark cherries. Nicely layered, soft baking spices; cinnamon, vanilla, just a touch of clove & nutmeg. Dark chocolate, hints of mocha, dark rich soils, soft granitic minerals, round acidity, well balanced with a lush finish. Nice & easy to drink. Extremely good QPR here.
Photos of; tonight’s Mala Mala sunset, Bull Elephant stopping for a drink, two Rhinos with their Calf and our nine Giraffe sighting this morning.

Straight from the nose, beautiful spanish music starts playing. Red and black fruit balance the tannins and you find yourself willing to play the castagnettes. This 2005 Dominio de Atauta is at its peak. Just perfect! Fruit, tobacco, and leather blend together beautifully. Olé! — 8 years ago
