Kelvedon Estate

Pinot Noir 2016

Drank 18.03.26 w/ Andie Ngan - 2016 vintage (MV6) Kelvedon Estate (5300 hectare property on Tas East Coast, established by Francis Cotton in 1830, temperate maritime climate close to sea) - bought for $50 on 04.04.21 from The Farm Shed, Bicheno Tasmania, recommend cellar 5-10 years. Extremely tasty very smooth and well rounded balanced bodied Pinot Noir where every mouthful was a delight to drink. Goes down very smooth and easy. Cherry front and currants at end with a touch of minerals. Def a higher end range a step above the usual table wine — 5 days ago

Rêveur Pinot Noir 2015

Mid Ruby in colour. Initial aromas of red and black fruits particularly raspberry and also whole bunch notes. Rich and sweet on the palate with plums and cherries finishing with smooth tannins. Fruit for this Pinot was sourced from the Coal Valley, East Coast and Channel sub-regions of Tasmania - the latter adding that richness like you see in Home Hill Estate. — 6 years ago

Apsley Gorge Vineyard

Chardonnay 2019

Very fine chardonnay. Very expensive toasted French oak on the nose which is integrated well with the fruit. Rich and chewy but lacking length and minerality which would have given it a higher score. — 3 months ago

Darlington Vineyard

Tasmanian Maria Coast Pinot Noir 2021

Dark purple color, rich dark fruits, very good structure suggesting 3-5 more years of aging would be appropriate, medium-long finish, very well-made Tassie Pinot Noir!! — 2 years ago

Boomer Creek

East Coast Tasmania Rosé Blend 2024

We picked this up at the Farm Shed in Bicheno, where we also learnt the wonderful story of its preparation. The Boomer Creek Rosé offers a well-balanced expression of the style, standing out with its harmonious structure. Its freshness and depth make it a strong example of a quality east coast Tasmanian Rosé. — a year ago

Kelly's Reserve Tasmania Pinot Noir 2015

Last note on the 2015 vintage was in January 2017. Same notes as previous - luscious raspberry notes. I drank this in Toowoomba a few days ago and now on the Gold Coast. Needs to be a regular purchase. Too delicious not to be. — 3 years ago

Josef Chromy

Pepik Tasmania Pinot Noir 2020

Our final lunch in Cairns last Sunday for the boys weekend away. A wonderful lunch at the Salt House on the Cairns waterfront. No formal notes. Pepik is the 2nd label of Josef Chromy from the East coast of Tasmania. Red fruits on nose and palate with a little white pepper. A good match with the superb seafood curry. — 5 years ago
