Ripe blackberry, cherry, sweet tobacco, cola, smoke and hints of vanilla, all waft up from the 2015 Ampelos Syrah Gamma.  It's soft on the palate, mixing minerals with ripe dark berries as zesty acids tug at the cheeks and hints of savory herbs resonated toward the close.  The finish is long, yet this is no blockbuster, instead wonderfully pleasant and poised, still showing blue and black fruit with gentle tannins and a hint of tart citrus.  Don't overt think it, just enjoy. — 6 years ago

Black raspberry with a little forest floor on the finish. Tannins in that sweet spot between youth and age. Needed about an hour of decant to go from shouty to lovely. This is in a great place now. — 9 years ago

2001 - rosso di gamma granata coesa, il registro aromatico si sviluppa intorno a frutti scuri dove i sentori di terra smossa, cuoio e foglie di tabacco completano il cerchio che si traduce in un sorso di estrema vigoria gustativa. Gran bel vino, va arieggiato almeno un'ora prima di berlo in modo da farlo aprire e poi la gamma di profumi sarà molto interessante! Si perde un po' in bocca e forse è un po' troppo alcolico, 14 gradi, ma resta sicuramente buono! — 13 years ago
