High end Sauv Blanc. Different to Greywacke Wild or Dog Point Sec 94 - less oaky and less breadth, more linear. Lemon, almost tangerine character. The oak and lees comes through in the mouthfeel, which is soft and supple. Very good wine but not in my mind as good@as its oaked nz companions. — 4 years ago

Who knew🤷♂️, I wonder what year they started the 14.5 to 15Another lovely nose from Greywacke wines, lanolin, stone, and fruit 20 grams residual sugar but drinks lighter than that due to high acidity. Wanna see this with some more age on it — 10 years ago
Kevin Judd's 2013 is an elegant number, not overripe peardrops (like so many NZ can be) but lightly creamy, leesy, white flowers with white peach, coxs apple. Light phenolics balanced with good acidity and texture. Slight smidgen of residual sugar also supports harmony. Well made — 11 years ago
Berries and plum with a hint of spice. Great value! — 12 years ago
A wine with many layers. Tried this after Greywacke Marlborough Pinot Gris. Fresher, but with pleasant hints of vanilla, and on the drier side. — 2 years ago
Excellent. Fresh, each sip invites the next one. — 8 years ago

Found some at K&L on a random search"Church vineyard." From the upper Ahr, with a higher percentage of slate and greywacke, this is coursing with mineral tension, dark fruit, and fine oak integration on a sturdy medium frame. Winner — 9 years ago
beautiful, elegant, fine and delicious! — 10 years ago
Beautiful honey and tropical fruit great dessert wine but not cheese — 11 years ago
This pale wine shows mineral and herbal qualities on the nose. The wine smells much grassier than the previous two New Zealand SBs I sampled (Babich and Greywacke). The palate shows a boatload of citrus minerality, too, with a racy acidity. Crustaceans and mollosks are welcome here. — 3 years ago

Cloudy Bay’s 33rd vintage. I’ve been a fan since their 12th. In fact, their 1996 was my epiphany wine; it was THE bottle that started it all. Founded in 1985 by David Hohnen of Margaret River’s Cape Mentelle along with its first winemaker, Kevin Judd, who would go on to spend 25 years there before creating his own label, Greywacke. Judd is widely considered as the pioneer responsible for elevating New Zealand wine to its current status. Judd also happens to be one of the best wine photographers in the world (I highly recommend his ‘The Landscape of New Zealand Wine’). Cloudy Bay was acquired by LVMH (Louis Vuitton Möet Hennessy) in 2003. Production of the 2017 vintage was down due to Cyclone Debbie. All fruit that was not harvested prior to the storm was discarded. Lime oil and white grapefruit combine with lemongrass and apricot, and will have you bracing for a razor sharp acidity to come, but what follows is superb balance. There’s a ping of acidity that’s just enough, which allows the flavors to linger just a little longer than usual. Still a fan. — 8 years ago
This is proper NZ SB. Absolutely love it once the worst chill left the glass. Distinct flint on the nose, followed by gooseberry, grapefruit, grass and (I'm not mad) nuts & boiled potatoes. A lovely mouthful with a long lasting finish. Paid a shade over £20 but happy that its better value than the Greywacke (2015) that I tried beside at £18. My new favourite NZ Sauvingnon Blanc. — 10 years ago
