Still very much potential. Very much a burgundy mise, Candied lemon, hints of subtle tropical fruit like pineapple. — 9 months ago

From the northern Macon and from the excellent 2014 vintage for White Burgundy. Initially notes of pineapple juice, a touch of mango and other tropical fruits. Clean unadulterated fruit - this wine doesn’t see any oak. The free run juices are vinified in Guffens horizontal stainless steel tanks. A textured creaminess on the palate which is amazing given the lack of wood - allows the excellent fruit to shine together with mineral overtones. Great value at $41 AUD. Will look for this in the future. — 5 years ago

Vintage 2018 | cuvée Les dames de Bonneau | made from Semillon only, 30 months barrel aging new wood. Introverted smell, almonds, apricot, coconut macroon, very concentrated and awesome balance. Good acidity to balance the sweet. Wine of Bourgogne star Jean Marie Guffens is the owner/maker. — a year ago
Lots of potential! Delicious but super young. — 4 years ago

Extraordinary white Burgundy from Guffens’ Mâconnais-based négociant business Verget, made from Chardonnay grown in Le Corton. Beautiful golden color. Quite rich and evolved, with complex aromas of dried and exotic fruits, chamomile and honeyed notes. Pure, rich, lively, mineral. Incredible freshness even 25 years after the vintage — 4 years ago

Oddly pale yellow color rather close to Rhône wines than Burgundy. On the nose we feel the pot (although I'm not personally a user!) So we have more floral nose than citrus. On the palate a lot of gravity, I would not say it's American style and not Rhône type either it was new to me. But after my first sip I really did not have the reflex to return a second time. Seeing the price I was stunned .... I do not understand anything. — 7 years ago
