Medium deep ruby, quite bright and intense , thin ruby rim . Quite deep and spicy on the nose , with a touch of oak and dark cherry , quite a lot of summer fruits also , flowers and an earthy , herbal tinge, which becomes more prominent with time . On the palate this is very suave and detailed , very polished , lots of sweet dark cherry , some blackberry and spiced raspberry too. Earthy , mineral twist on the finish . Polished tannins and well judged acidity , even at 14o alcohol there is no heat , only roundness . Balanced acidity and long , sappy finish , mixed with summer fruits, floral with a lightly toasty hint . Very young , fruit dominated but enjoyable none the less , a great life ahead . This really improves with air becomes more mineral and earthy , showing more backbone and tannin , but always remaining complete and balanced . Come back in 5 years or so , will drink well a further 5-10. Very promising, and a great experience. — a month ago

Clear, deep ruby to purple in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of black plums, graphite, and green peppers; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary aromas of blackberries, blueberries, tar, and clay pots with a long finish. This wine is balanced and intense. Overall, I rate it as very good. Nellie likes it too. — 5 months ago

Jeroboam, 2018 Vallobera Rioja Crianza.
You know how they say wine is for sharing… shared well.
So much more than expected! Poised and polished, unfolding dark cherry, black plum, and cocoa, framed by fine tannins, savory oak, and a beautiful, effortless balance that lingers like good company long after the glass is empty. — 6 months ago
A wonderful Mount Veeder Cab that has aged elegantly.
The nose shows blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum laced with savory notes of cedar, tobacco and dried herbs. The palate is concentrated yet vibrant with silky tannins has firm grip, finishing long with hints of cocoa and espresso.
Restrained power and finesse, Yannick brought both Veeder’s rugged characters and French precision. Last bottle. — 10 months ago
Medium light ruby , quite wide light ruby rim . On the nose shows good complexity with sous bois , truffle , cherry and raspberry. On the palate this is again more tertiary in character , with those cherry fruits complementing the earthy sous bois notes . With time this shows a mineral , stony undertow , but stays fresh and vital , with those cherry and raspberry notes . Very fine , ripe but grippy tannins . Fresh acidity and good balance , good velvety mouthfeel . This is great now though improves with time in the glass , so there is absolutely no rush here , from now and over the next 10 years perhaps. An excellent showing for this challenging year . At Auberge de l’ill, Illhaeusen. — a month ago
