A better macerated wine — 5 years ago
Red berries, a touch of cinnamon and spices. Fresh, elegant, lots of energy, nice soft tannins, well balanced, the most approchable and less powerful of all the premier crus from JM Vincent, very good, drank in a flash. 89-90
Fruits, rouges, touche de canelle. Frais, fin, énergique avec des tannins présents mais tellement approchables en ce moment, bien équilibré et le moins puissant des premiers crus de ce domaine, très bon, ça se boit tout seul. 89-90

2016 vintage. Served at dinner party M&S. So perfect with filet mignon. Would buy again. M NOLA — 7 years ago
A nice bottle, some yellow orchard fruit and honey, the palate is dominated by the richness and roundness vs a backward acidity, not bad but was better in it’s youth if my memory serves me right.

Don’t usually like rieslings. Vanilla notes. — 6 years ago
Tasted blind. My guesses were around Fedellos do Couto and Matassa, but with influence from Sextant. Entry-level funky-style wine. Slightly restrained and simple in the nose with notes of sweet cherry, cranberry and spoiled jam. But it pays well in the taste. Fizzy at the beginning, salty with flavours of spoiled strawberry-cranberry jam but with the right volume and evolution based on jamminess. I would take it on a picnic, chill a little bit, and then chill together with a bottle or two of this wine. — 4 years ago
Funky on the nose; hits you with subtle notes of gorgonzola or blue cheese, and green tomatoes. Viscous texture, but does not coat your mouth. Flavors of plum, pear, and nectarine. Crisp and acidic on the finish. Awesome wine. — 5 years ago

Timeframe for my Fruit Forward pallet. Dr. Jay Miller -Wine Advocate Staffer rated 98 points
in 2007. Cheers 🍇🍷 Dr. Jay Miller Review:
“Any aspiring collectors should add a case of this to their stash. The 2004 Numanthia comes from a different terroir with a different clone of Tinta de Toro. The vines for this cuvee range from 70-100 years of age with tiny yields of 1 ton of fruit per acre. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrel followed by 19 months in new French oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The wine is a glass-coating opaque purple with a killer nose of mineral, pencil lead, wild blueberry, and blackberry liqueur that roars from the glass. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, dense, and already beginning to show complexity within its layers of spicy black fruits. There is immense power, well-concealed ripe tannin, and the well-delineated finish lasts for over one minute. This is a sensational effort which in a perfect world should be cellared for a decade and enjoyed over the following 25+ years. However, the elderly among us should not feel guilty about opening a bottle now. (JM) (2/2007)” — 7 years ago
