What @Anthony Lombardi said. I’ve been waiting for an expression of WA terroir like this for a long time. — 7 years ago
Very light wine and easy task drink. First time trying wine from Lombardi — 8 years ago
It’s actually Double Mosaic Day Dream but Delectable couldn’t identify the growler. This may be Brooklyn’s finest @Anthony Lombardi — 8 years ago

Piggybacking on @Anthony Lombardi ‘s music/wine combinations, this Pfalz Riesling is gorgeous, a perfect accompaniment to ghosht kari, along with Sade’s masterpiece song suite Love Deluxe. White peach, bracing acidity, petrol, salinity, extraordinarily bright golden hue...amazing QPR. — 8 years ago

Mencia is still unusual territory to me! But I would like to play more on its playground. @Anthony Lombardi I think you recommended this one! It hit my nose with leather but over the next hour or so unfolded: I got blackberries and flowers and dried savory herbs and then the green pepper came out to play, but just a bit. Mild in the acid, alcohol and body but still interesting. I would like to explore more Mencia! — 8 years ago

Bought this knowing nothing about the wine on recommendation of my Delectable friend Anthony Lombardi, whom I have actually never met (one of the many things I love about this app). My initial reaction to the color and nose was WTF, not having any experience with these wines, but then I got it. Orange rind, over ripe peach, nectarine, apricot, orangina, capers, lemons, spice, sand, bunch of other stuff, all coming from a cloudy, orangish, smoky liquid that resembled what I understood to be wine, and I can’t say there was a finish because I kept tasting it long after it was done. Oh and it changed a lot over several hours. Felt archaic, organic, creative, weird, and natural. Thanks Anthony. — 6 years ago
70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay.
Dosage = 6 g/l
Initially a bit muted on the palate but opens up nicely with some air.
Not really a bargain at $40 which I guess is why you can now find it at Grocery Outlet (Napa) for $17.99.
@Anthony Lombardi Any association? 😁 — 8 years ago
The new new Dakota Shy Cab and Childish Gambino a la @Anthony Lombardi ...as Todd says, it’s “headbanger boogie good!” — 8 years ago
Light on its feet, and a nice textured mouthfeel. — 8 years ago
If I were @Anthony Lombardi, the musical pairing might have been The Joshua Tree album, cuz I still haven’t found what I’m looking for. Quite good, but still not grok-ing the hype... — 8 years ago
Venerable sparkling producer from Lombardi. This is almost like traditional method sparkling in a still wine format, if such a thing exists. Extensive lees contact, very yeasty with lingering richness on mid palate and some earth notes. Definitely an intellectual wine, but enjoyable with some exciting food potential. — 9 years ago
Saline/floral nose. Grippy palate, no flab. Mineral. Texture is fabulous. Really an unsung Tempier (in the words of @Anthony Lombardi). Perfect with herby spanikopita & marinated lamb. — 5 years ago

To borrow a page from @Anthony Lombardi postings, today Eddie Money passed away @ 70 years of age. Too soon!
So many childhood memories to his music. Was he the GOAT of Rock N Roll? Not exactly. But, he left his mark none the less. I find it’s memories that make music & wine greater.
So Eddie took his “Ticket to Paradise” and got himself “Home Tonight!” For all the great music and memories, I raise a glass of this appropriately choicen Champagne because of its bottling designation and say, cheers to Eddie Money. RIP Eddie. 💰 🎷 🎸 🎶🥂 — 7 years ago
I was introduced to this wine last year by reading a post here by @Anthony Lombardi and fell in love with its simplicity. This is a second vintage that I’ve ordered and it presents a reasonable break to my Burgundian obsession. This riesling is bone dry with racing acidity. No malo and aged in very old barrels. Grapes grown in higher elev present also a hint of minerality. I’m sipping it but it needs food. Like — 8 years ago

Bright acidity, low yeast. Tastes of fresh grapes. Very articulate. Amazing. — 9 years ago

an absolutely perfectly balanced, full bodied lombardi with notes of black current, plum and vanilla. it is spicy with refined tannins and pairs perfectly with the orichiette , a braised pork and fennel pasta at fausto. — 2 years ago
