Stuff was divinely smooth with sexy tannins.. 100% Syrah from Crozes-Hermitage, and for a "lighter" style, it was so flavor packed and rich. Smoked blackberries and cedar on the nose, with dark chocolate covered cherries, pepper, dried herb, fig, and mocha on the pallet. 91 pts on The Advocate, and definitely a 92 in my book. Yum! Got another taste recently at an event. Big rich fruit aroma of this Hermitage of ripe black and red fruits with rustic spices. On the palate cherry and ripe fruit with mineral edges. Fine ripe tannins with hints of cedar on the medium+ finish ending with fruit taking charge. Very nice! Has plenty of room to age. Tasting Sample! — 6 years ago
