This is superlative Rutherford Cabernet, the real deal. Its perfection is marred only slightly by an odd bitterness to the end finish. Other than that, it hits all of the right notes: light dusty tannins, black cherries with a hint of chocolate, a bit of a tingle in the finish. This is great stuff from a lesser-known small family producer. — 2 years ago
Blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, and 1% Merlot sourced estate-owned vineyards in Rutherford (30%), South Napa (22%), the St. Helena home ranch (17%), and Stag's Leap District (Barboza Vineyard, 17% and Las Rocas Vineyard, 14%). Just opened this, 14 years in the bottle after a couple of years in the barrel! Still tasting well, young and juicy, should easily last another 14 years in the bottle. Deep Ruby, dark fruits, spice, complex nose. Palate reflects juicy rich berry fruits, well structured harmonious wine. Fine soft rich tannins, long finish ending with fruit, tobacco and earthy tones. Wow! — 4 years ago
Fruity citrus aroma, medium acidity, tart finish, similar in texture and flavor to a Sancerre, paired well with oysters and Mahi Mahi. — 2 months ago
Excellent as always. A bit dusty — similar to Rutherford. Dark fruit. Good but not our favorite. — 2 years ago
Pleasantly surprised - relatively complex. Good price. — 4 months ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Pale straw lemon color with aromas of tropical fruit, lime citrus and grassy aromas. On the palate flavors of pear and grapefruit with herb notes, vivid acidity. Medium+ finish, ending with fruit, grassy noted and mineral tones. — a month ago
