One to save. Too tired to be fancy with describing it. — 7 years ago

The marbel fermentation gives it an epic spicy side in perfect harmony with a very soft aging in new oak. Awesome! — 10 years ago
Alentejano gostoso — 10 years ago
Capa y densidad media, en nariz frutas rojas, ciruela, monte bajo. En boca buena entrada, paso ágil y final agradable y largo. — 11 years ago
The wine continued to get better over the course of dinner. It had a lot more fruit than I would have expected for a European wine even though it was a Syrah. — 11 years ago
Crisp, clean red fruits, particularly strawberry. Rosé is excellent with late Fall dishes, but I might save my second bottle for next summer. — 7 years ago
A rich, full-bodied wine. It welcomes you with the deepest, darkest purple you have ever seen, almost black in color. Then, the aroma invistes you with dark blackberry, mulberry and a violet scent to a dense, firm mouthful of fruit along with fine tannins. It almost reminds you of a young Bordeaux. But then, no, as it’s spicy black pepper tingle and more violets and exotic notes come out. What would absolutely stun you is to find out was there is no oak used on this wine. The tannins are silky with time, but, make no mistake, this is a BIG wine. Often, that is achieved with oak. But here, it is just a reflection of the grapes and the touch nature of Alentejo! Unbelievable! — 8 years ago

I tasted this new (2014) vintage a couple months ago, and gave it a 91. It's a definite improvement over the 2013, which was decent, but the tannins were a bit too angular IMO. The 2014 package is new, but it looks like they had some "old" label and capsule stock to run out. No worries, the wine is good and the new packaging will eventually be out in the market. This is a gem and should be consumed in copious quantities. So this rating is higher. Deal with it. — 11 years ago

This has to open up. In the glass of in a decanter and then it’s fantastic. Complex and aromatic. I’d drink it all day. — 7 months ago
