Pinot from wine tasting at hi times!! Amazing!! Very good! Forgot the rest! $50. Strong perfumed aroma, bright and juicy palate, beautiful balance. Such a delicate balance. — 9 years ago
Fruit forward. Bright, acid is integrated. — 9 years ago
Good mid palate weight and purity. Red sweet raspberries get swamped in grippy acid and savoury notes. excellent balance. Good but not great p/q — 5 years ago
A new producer to me as in Garagiste from the Mornington Peninsula. Light to medium Ruby. Aromatic red fruits of Strawberry and Cranberry with a stalky whole bunch note. Fresh and young. Light in colour but medium intensity with medium dry tannins. Great QPR at $25 a bottle. Not for long keeping I would say. Had another one 71 weeks later on 17th November 2021 with consistent notes. Excellent value. — 6 years ago
Excellent value Chardonnay from Mornington Peninsula. A — 7 years ago
Of around 15 or so wines tasted over the last weekend on the Mornington Peninsula Victoria, this was the standout. Mid Gold at 12 years of age. Funky leesy aromas with notes of almond meal, grilled nuts in general. On the palate stone fruit, white peach and great length and intensity. Would give most Premier Crus and the odd Grand Cru a run for their money. Tried to buy a dozen but ended up this was their last bottle at the winery. 🙁 — 9 years ago

🍷✔✔ just lovely. Bought from the cellar door — 6 years ago
Pale to Mid Crimson in colour. Red cherry and a tarry note . 80% whole bunch in the ferment. On the palate red and black cherry (flesh and skins). A fuller style - medium weight + palate. Mornington Peninsula is very good for Pinot Noir and this was the first Pinot to win the prestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy for Best One Year old Dry Red at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show. Delectable this is the Single Block Pinot Noir not the Syrah. — 6 years ago
Mild smooth tasting, a subtle hint of oak — 7 years ago

A beautiful Mornington Peninsula Pinot drinking at its peak. A nice blend of red fruits and earthy nuances - M+ intensity on the palate. Again the lightness in colour belies that palate intensity - a sweet palate. Main Ridge Estate was an early producer in Mornington and remains highly rated - Half Acre being their Premium Cuvée. Bottles from this estate are not readily available even in Australia. NOTE DELECTABLE - this Cuvée is the Half Acre Not the Acre. — 9 months ago
