Sourcing their fruit from Hossfeld Vineyards which suffered substantial losses in the fire of 2017, this high altitude 2/3 tempranillo 1/3 Cabernet from Parador is very unique and went perfectly with smoked paprika pulled pork sandwiches! This wine poured a dark crimson with purple edges. Nose of smoky blackberry and sweet fruit opulence. Palate is brambly and reminiscent of a young Vega Sicilia which is leathery, smoky, Blackberry and drunken black cherry-rich. Middle has a fair amount of earthy, soil driven tar and ashy loam. Finishes with good acidity which danced well with the pork and stood alone quite well. A baby, but very curious about this wine. Well made and hope to acquire future vintages! — 7 years ago
Only sold in the parador restaurant - why do all the wines I love not make it to the States? — 10 years ago
This one came fresh out of the wine fridge and needed a bit of time to warm up and breathe. Once it did you were in more a nice treat - an almost even split of Cabernet and Tempranillo from two select vineyards in Napa. My drinking companions seemed to notice the Cab while I was far more aware of the Tempranillo. White pepper, black pepper and old dusty fruit (showing its 10 year old age) mingled with black earth and boysenberry syrup. I bought this bottle so I wasn't blind tasting this one, but I could have easily imagined this coming from the Ribera del Duoro in Spain. — 11 years ago
5/2 Zuzu with my love — 12 years ago
Rich complex pleasing aromas, tastes of blueberry and current, mild tannins in this 8 year old 2016 vintage. Excellent recommendation from our Parador (Santiago, Spain) waiter. — 2 years ago

Drank at Parador de Lerma on 1st August 2018.
Dark cherry, purple rim. Wood on the nose. Berries and vanilla on the mouth. Nice wine. — 8 years ago
Smoky. A great pairing for anything off the BBQ, including my grilled veggie sandwich. — 12 years ago
Perfectly aged #napavalley #cabernetsauvignon - The potential QPR stood out to me here on a wine list in downtown Napa. Bramble fruit balanced against softly earthy nose. Symmetrical acidity and fruit continues on palate, dreamy tannins on the finish. Excellent pairing with confit duck leg. — 3 years ago
