100% Aglianico. Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas and flavors of plum, black cherry, tobacco, dark chocolate, graphite and freshly turned soil. Touch of pepper spice on the finish. Bright acidity and very firm tannins. Bone dry. Best with food. Give this one a decant. — 4 years ago

A producer that i know for a long time
Absolutely not a classic character
Matteo is a true vigneron and loves what he does like few others.
The Follia Bianco was always my favourite label and did not disappointed
Rich and mineral
It really feel like an important Sancerre for the mineral, but for its weight and richness it could be a Burgundy.
Vineyard is in Velletri over the hills of Rome influenced by the a sea breeze coming from west.
Very long and surely at peak
I'd imagine some bottles might be past the peak too, but this one was holding superbly.
I am very curious to try the other labels Stefano had from Piana dei Castelli. It made my day — 3 months ago

Hope family began their planting’s in 1978 & sold wine under the Hope Family label directly from the winery's tasting room. In 1990 the Hope ranches became the sole source of fruit for Liberty School Cabernet Sauvignon. In 1996, they founded Treana Winery. A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon & 25% Syrah. Aromas of sweet berry & spice notes. Flavors of currants and ripe berry with cacao, pepper and vanilla spice. Full body, rich tannins, good balance ending on the spicy side. — 8 years ago

Quite tannic. Too dry. Still fine — 5 months ago
Fruit forward. Bags of cherries and blackberries. Wonderful wine that is easy to drink. Little acidity. This wine knocks it out of the park (as the Americans say). — 4 years ago
