Tosi hyvä! Sopii hyvin tulisin ruokiin — 5 years ago
Oh María Luz you are a rockstar. I lovingly carried this bottle back from my first trip to Chile, having been bowled over by this fierce female winemaking pioneer who runs Casa Marin with her son. From the chilliest part of San Antonio Valley, a stone’s throw from the sea, Luz’s wine shimmer with acidity and vibrate with energy. At 12 years of age this Syrah is absolutely singing with gorgeous green olive salinity backed by blackberry bramble, dried herbs, white pepper and dried currants. Fantastic acidity and faint tannins make this an utterly effortless mouthful. I wish I had another bottle. Or five. — 6 years ago
A very reasonably priced bottle. Sadly half of it went to the dish I was cooking, but it was delicious with a slow-cooked pork in wine sauce. — 6 years ago
Full bodied, but without the grassy herbaceous notes of other Southern Hemisphere SB's. Fruity, and clean on the palate. Purchased at the vineyard. — 7 years ago
Night 1 of the Fall WNH event in San Antonio. What a killer start to the extended weekend, all courtesy to Shawn and Jennifer for hosting! Tonight was Italian wines.
Another in the running for WOTN. Maple and rich! Cherry and vanilla tobacco on the nose with herbal spice and a strawberry tart finish. Young and acidic! There is a very underripe red fruit dominant profile here. Crazy how young it tastes for 23yrs old. Bravo @Shawn R ! — 8 years ago
14.8% abv. Tasty. Dark thick fruits taste. Intense but pleasant. — 4 years ago
This is weird, but if you read NK Jemisen’s Broken Earth series, and you think about the all-powerful onyx obelisk—that’s what it feels like I’m drinking. Overwhelming in every way—Big, bold, ripe, boozy. But balanced and smooth and soft like velvet glove. I just fall deep into the glass and wanna stay there. The dark, juicy fruit — a blackberry/blueberry cobbler comes to mind—lingers forever. — 5 years ago
Fresh, with herbaceous notes and some buttery, yeasty and mushroom characteristics — 6 years ago
This is an exceptional Sauvignon Blanc. It is a cool climate wine, more similar to a Sancerre than a new world SB. It knocked my socks off. — 7 years ago

jonathan likez, semi sweet so tasty — a year ago
Nice to have this wine again after 11 years. Visited the vineyard in Chile in 2011. A bit too international in profile; I prefer their regular Syrah. A little watery at the start, but then gets more intense and flavorful in the mid-range and after taste. Enjoyed with a burger at Wollensky’s Grill. — 4 years ago

Deep purple colors in the glass. Heavy cab with blueberry, vanilla, and tasting notes of earth. Very yummy cab and went perfectly with pot roast. — 7 years ago
Good Mexican wine .. one of the best wines from El Valle de Guadalupe . — 7 years ago
Zingy. Cedar, herbs and cherrywood on the nose. Flavor is complex, cedar-y and classic Spaniard. Deep and rich for the age. Nice sauna and berry extravaganza. Fully expressive of a place and time. — 8 years ago
ESF
ask the wine guy for something unusual, something off the beaten path and he recommends this delicious dry 100% Palomino w/some bottle age: definitely a food wine, light greenish straw color w/fairly austere nose full of minerals, lanolin, herbaceous musk, white flowers (jasmine), ginger & some spices. on palate it is rigid & angular, zesty acidity, some citrus but mostly minerals & herbs, quinine, screams for briny foods - we had this w/deli section fare & salad. — 8 months ago
