Enjoyed at Auberges des Seigneurs in Vence, rural Provence. A perfect accompaniment to fire roasted chicken and Provençal vegetables. Rose petals on the nose, flavours on the palate encompass apple cider, crème brûlée, lemon citrus, and sweet grapefruit. Beautiful balance of acid and sweetness. Long satisfying tart finish. Delectable has identified this incorrectly. It’s the 2020 Domaine de Colonat Seigneurs du Beaujolais Morgon. Great nose features nose-tingly granite dust, plummy cherry fruit, and yeasty spicecake. Full on the palate (14.5), with a nice initial whack of very pure fruit and decent acids, but the back half gets a tad dilute and the alcohol starts to show through. — 4 years ago
