Delectable seems to think this is red and not white, odd since there is no red wine in the AOC, but... Who cares because it's delicious.
Fenel, pepper and underripe pear and honeydew but way more savory than fruity. Big acidic structure but well balanced and just beautiful. Awesome. — 10 years ago
What a nose. Custardy, gras, tropical but also granitic. Wow. So expressive. Citrus marmalade. So mineral and just expansive. Like a 9.6 nose. Maybe more! It’s a 9.7 nose. Sickness. Palate has energy for days and days and is so elegant, fresh and complex. Beautiful. Long. This is one of the best St. Perays I have ever had. Wow does it cling with super pure citrus and edgy tropical fruits that just coat the palate. Rich and energetic is my favorite combo. As this airs it comes more into focus and gets so nimble. So complex. Almost a 9.7! — 3 years ago
Tangy, nectarines, flowers, caramel, floral notes to finish. A beautiful and balanced blend from this AOC, tasted at the winery. — 10 years ago
Yes I give it a ten. Although I hate these rating numbers, I know that this is my favorite wine from the Ehlers Estate. The wine maker tells us it has hints of dark chocolate, coffee, and lavender. I would agree totally. Lets dig in shall we.
This is a 2013 , 100% organic, 100% petit verdot from St Helena in Napa. The estate is Ehlers and the grapes are not purchased but grown in their vineyard. Starting with Bernard and Anne Ehlers buying a dying vineyard in the late 1800's followed by Jean and Sylviane Leducq purchasing it and putting their flare for French Bordeaux in the mix with the help of a renowned enologist Jacques Boissenot, the Ehlers Estate name still remains and the wine has become fantastic. Today Kevin Morrisey makes the wine and WOW! Please visit their web site to see this amazing family of wine makers. They put passion and pride in every bottle. The cork is perfectly preserved and the color is a very dark opaque purple like that of a cabernet. The legs are long and thick and very slow to fall. The bouquet is definitely lavender and sweet basil. The initial palate is minimally acidic if at all. There is a hint of dark berries and black cherry and maybe toasted coconut. I don't taste the blueberry but in the finish there is a definite chocolate and buttery long long finish. I want to have a sip after eating a bite of dark chocolate. There is also a hint of coffee in the finish. YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cant stop drinking it. As a matter of fact Im ordering two more bottles right now!

In a fantastic place. Tons of dark berry on the nose. So dark and almost staining. Intense palate with real depth and body. Bit of earth and minerality. Excellent acid and finish. 13% abv, whole thing is very in balance. Great pairing with some olive and grilled meat-heavy Greek food. — 3 months ago
