Gelber Muskateller 2024

Pale, water clear straw in the glass. Characteristically abundant nose of white flowers with an undertone of very ripe white peach. Firm acidity leads the light palate of honeysuckle and budding magnolia. The white peach remains subtle but present entry to flowery finish. A just off-dry (between Trocken and Kabinett) Muscat that's an excellent match for a wide range of foods. Cheeses, pork dishes, spicy Asian fare, fresh fruit… it's all good. Drink now with any of the above. — a month ago

Pfalz Trocken Riesling 2023

Gerd Anselmann – Riesling Trocken 2023
Pfalz – Germany 🇩🇪

Overview
100% Riesling from Pfalz, one of Germany’s warmest and driest regions, known for producing ripe yet crisp expressions. “Trocken” indicates a dry style.

Aromas & Flavors
Fresh and lively with aromas of citrus zest, green apple, and a touch of peach. On the palate, the wine shows its dry edge with sharp lemon, crunchy green pear, and subtle minerality. The fruit is vibrant but restrained, with a backbone of acidity keeping everything bright and linear.

Mouthfeel
Crisp, dry, and refreshing. Medium-bodied with a clean and snappy finish that emphasizes acidity over sweetness.

Food Pairing
Perfect with sushi, ceviche, grilled shrimp, or light salads. Also great with vegetarian dishes and mild goat cheeses.

Verdict
A straightforward, clean, and classic Pfalz Riesling Trocken—ideal for those who love a zesty, dry style with no frills but plenty of freshness. Cheers!

Did you know?
The Pfalz region sits along the Haardt mountains, a continuation of France’s Vosges, giving Riesling here extra ripeness compared to the Mosel or Rheingau. This often results in more fruit-forward yet still dry wines.
