The mouthfeel is supple, round, soft, yet meaty and tarry tannins. Ripe, juicy, rich; blackberries, baked plum for days, dark cherries, black raspberries, hues of raspberries & boysenberries. Black licorice, berry cola, muddy, volcanic clay, herbaceous notes, soft baking spices, slightly, melted chocolate, dark spice with a touch of heat, coffee, dry crushed, rocks, dry stem, dry tobacco, new leather, oak to cedar shavings, volcanic ash, dark, slightly withering, red, blue flowers framed in a field of endless violets, rainfall acidity, great balance, nice tension/structure and a smartly polished finish that last a full minute.

If you own, I would drink over the next 3-4 years before it starts to slide.

Vignamaggio Monna Lisa Chianti Classico. Had to try this because I am a big fan of Leonardo da Vinci. That usually doesn’t end well as a reason to choose wine, but this time it lived up to the name! It’s earthy on the nose with a juicy red fruit palate. Perfect for tomato sauce on pizza, or pasta. Deliciously smooth and full bodied. This wine had a big and complex personality for one that was medium-bodied. It was very juicy and jammy, with flavors of black cherry, plum, and blackberry jam. Spectacular!!! A beautiful ruby red. Cherry tobacco and new leather on the nose. Very well balanced. Wish I had more in this glass to expound. A great example of a great Chianti Classico Gran Selezione.
