Superb. Brambly cherries, glorious spice and Alpine love. Really airy and expansive. Palate is full of minerals and energy. Gorgeous cherry fruit that is so pure and sapid. What a nose. Spice, cocoa, earth and very complex. Cherries as well. Super expansive. Leather and wood shavings. Cherry liquer. Wow. Stunning aromas. Palate has energy and purity for days plus awesome sappy texture and grippy but sweet tannins and wonderful sappy cherries. Good freshness and texture and very nimble. The pale golden straw color is appealing, while the nose certainly isn’t scaring anyone away. Clean earth notes define the apple, papaya and lime aromas beautifully. The palate shows off-dry pear, apple and Meyer lemon flavors on a bed of acidity. Finishing long, it’s the earth and citrus that stays around after the sip. The wine’s body makes it a lot more versatile that just “salads and sipping.” Winemaker Markus Niggli recommends you pair it with anything off the grill. — 10 years ago

One of the best Swiss Pinots we sell and it is a smoke show in 2020. Wow. Ethereal perfume of sappy cherries, black cherries, late season cherries, light smokey oak, camphor, burnt fireplace embers, decaying leaves, vanilla extract and spice. So complex and deep. 9.7 nose. Insane. Wow! Wow! So complex, elegant and juicy. Sweet fruit with tons of energy but my goodness what finesse and sleek fruit. This is amazing. The finish has a lipstick like intensity. Stunning on the PNP and I am sure will improve with air. What a finish. Goes on and on. This has such a weightlessness to it plus top notch fruit clarity. Unreal delicacy. Just a stunning showing.
