This sparkling wine pours up frothy, with a white set of bubbles which dissipate quickly. The nose brings a ton of apples, pears, and minerality. The palate is quite refreshing, with lots of acidity and carbonation. Fruit is the star in the flavor profile, and the mouthfeel is clean, light, tingly, and just a bit peppery. There is just a trace of toast, but you won’t mistake it for Champagne. It’s just as much fun, though. — 7 months ago

Deep ruby to dark garnet, St. Laurent Ausstich is "selection of the best barrels of the vintage". Smoked cherries, herbs and forest berries dominate on the bouquet. Palate is juicy, with chokeberries and soft wooden tartness, slightly straight. Sour cherry and oak hints on meduim length finish. Overall - pretty nice wine with velvety structure, balanced and elegant to some extent. Suits roe deer sliced and cooked in onion sauce. — 10 years ago
