Tasted January 2014
Deep ruby to dark garnet, St. Laurent Ausstich is "selection of the best barrels of the vintage". Smoked cherries, herbs and forest berries dominate on the bouquet. Palate is juicy, with chokeberries and soft wooden tartness, slightly straight. Sour cherry and oak hints on meduim length finish. Overall - pretty nice wine with velvety structure, balanced and elegant to some extent. Suits roe deer sliced and cooked in onion sauce. — 10 years ago

Nice and balanced St Laurent - a great choice on the Austrian market. Make a mental note for this one. — 6 years ago
If you like Riesling, you’ll like this. This winery just outside of Vienna does everything right. Nose is fruity and bright, color is a perfect gold/green, taste is not too sweet, but sweet enough with a medium acid kick. Finish is long and has some almond bitterness. I like. — 7 years ago
Crisp and floral. The perfect wine after a long walk around Zürich. — 8 years ago
Full rich nose with full notes of minerals and stone with just a touch of citrus and crunchy pear. Juicy and spicy on the palate with vibrant acidity. Flavors of citrus oils lead to deep, full minerality and touches of white pepper and green grass. The finish is long and bright with loads of acidity and a touch a spice. A wonderful cheese fondue wine for New Year's Eve! — 9 years ago

This sparkling wine pours up frothy, with a white set of bubbles which dissipate quickly. The nose brings a ton of apples, pears, and minerality. The palate is quite refreshing, with lots of acidity and carbonation. Fruit is the star in the flavor profile, and the mouthfeel is clean, light, tingly, and just a bit peppery. There is just a trace of toast, but you won’t mistake it for Champagne. It’s just as much fun, though. — 7 months ago
