Kinda cool label with insect. Darker color than many Pinot’s. Nose is a bit perfumed with some candied fruits. It’s smooth and not too heavy on the tongue. Has tart berry and pie cherry flavors. More tart and elegant than expected from the nose. It’s reminiscent of Grenache. Not super complex, but likable. More of a CA style. — 2 days ago
Information dense label. Regenerative ag for the grapes. Lovely color. Rose petals of the classic bouquet. Aroma is dusky rose and spice rack. Herbal with a hint of incense. The wine is full bodied with a juicy, fruity flavor. Berries abound. Has plenty of tannin and a nice bitter bite. This is good stuff. A on point Sonoma style Pinot. — 6 days ago
Aged Rosé! It’s still a lovely color. Amber pinkish. Smells like stone fruits. Hint of funkytown. Flavor is nice. Fleshy and very dry. Herbal side. Just a slight strawberry essence. Not sweet though. Doesn’t seem to be worse for wear with the aging. This is great with Asian food. A winner of a Rosé. — 2 days ago
Crazy eye catching label. Lighter color in the glass. The aroma is fairly complex with a little spice. This is CA style ‘big’ Pinot. Has a fair amount of oak to go with the fruit bomb. It’s smooth and easy drinking with a shorter finish. A central coast cheapie. — 2 days ago
Label has decent style. Reflects the Mexican heritage of the seven brothers who owned the label before it apparently just filed for bankruptcy. Color is good. Deeper, but pretty on point for Pinot. Aromas of berries and leather. Flavors are complex. Plenty of fruit. Sort of a classic CA Pinot Noir profile. Hint of spice. Has a grip with the tannins. Long linger. Holds on. This is a nice Carneros Pinot. Great deal for $8 marked down from $45 at Grocery Outlet. — 5 days ago
1990’s vibes for label. Very pink. Hint of copper like a brand new penny (not that those exist anymore lol). Aroma has a little wet granite with the strawberry. Flavors are very ripe. Plenty of red berry jam. Candied. Flabby. This is one step away from grape juice flavor. — 2 days ago
Pretty label with a classy flower. Smells a bit funky. This is dry and strange. Definite cool climate wine. It was interesting to try, but it’s not my style. — 2 days ago
Plain label. Has a decent amount of info on it. Great color. Aroma is incense and a hint strange. But in a good way. Flavors are complex and unique. Earthy with a minerality. The wine is fuller bodied with a nice grippy-iness. The finish is long and complex. This is nice Pinot. — 5 days ago
Standard label. Funny name. Has a nice classic aged Pinot color. Rusty edge, ruby core. Has a nice balanced nose. Berries. Just the slightest hint of barnyard. Lovely flavors. Silky yet still has that tannic grippy side. Flavor of rose petals and red berries. Excellent long, lingering finish. This is a very nice bottle of CA Pinot Nior. — 6 days ago
Tree Kilpatrick
Different vintage. Like that they kept the same label. Color is ruby red. Not quite the deep dark of American Merlot or Cab Sauv. Wet rocks and raisins on the nose. Or maybe more dried strawberries and cherries. Flavors are woodsy and interesting. Has the classic cedar of Spanish wines. Funny that this is labelled ‘CRIANZA’ even though it’s not Temp nor from Rioja. It’s still a nice bottle of dry and flavorful red. — 2 days ago
