However like a great sports car another gear shows up and its structure keeps all under control. Wonderful red fruits and a savory earthiness that lingers on the tongue. A classy wine with Burgundian undertones.

Day 1 this was a little tight, but still expressive in a pretty and elegant way like a great Vosne, soft and firm at the same time with red fruits and spice.
Day 2 was like a Chambolle with a deeper expression and a more defined presence, velvety texture, with heightened red fruits, sweet spices and more minerality.
Best amongst many great wines I have had from Sicily by #iconic producer @ariannaocchipinti

This Arianna Occhipinti 2010 Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico Grotte Alte has a medium intensity of red fruits, some spices and offers good freshness. Made from 50% Nero d’Avola and 50% Frappato and left in the barrel for 4 years before release. Only 4,200 bottles produced.
