Very interesting. Yakima Valley fruit. Dark purple/black color. Big aromas of black licorice, leather and earth. Bold black fruit, licorice and lavender flavors. Long finish, full bodied and powerful, but there is also a finesse to this wine. (It does not have the extremely chewy tannins that I was expecting.) Petite Verdot is not typically vinified as a single varietal, but this is outstanding. Great effort! Revisited in December 2020. Still terrific. Revisited again in January 2026. Tannins have totally softened and the balance is beautiful.

Not too experienced with Petit Verdot, but this is a very good wine. Deep dark color like squid ink. Black fruit on the nose. Nice fruit on the palate. I'd drink again.
