Súper Tuscan with cab franc, drank with rich restaurant Italian meal. Polished tannins, opulent but balanced, glazed red cherries, light balsamic. The 8 years post release has tamed the beast enough. I swear the bottle weighed 5lbs.

Selected this wine for a wine tasting featuring 6 red wines. This blend of Merlot, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot, & Shiraz turned out to be a crowd favorite. A heavier wine which stores well - vacuumed corked for a month & still tasted great - totally shocked by this. Will buy again.
