At Bird &Jim again . . . .an excellent restaurant and this was a recommendation that was superb. While I wouldn’t normally choose a chain it Classico to go with steak this was great.

2013 vintage. 80 % Sangiovese, 5 % Cab Sauv and 5% Petit Verdot. 21 months in French oak barriques and tonneaux (20% new)
Aromas of bright cherry, violets, black tea and currants.
Great acidity with strawberry, tea, leather, plum, earthy and a bitter cherry finish. The fruit is 100 % estate grown.
We had grilled quail breast with mushroom risotto with this Chianti.

Exactly what you would expect from a solid, Chianti Classico. A very good wine for any occasion.
