Expressive nose dominated by the toffee caramel notes of the French oak at this stage. Coffee. Felt some toasting there. Good fruit, tannins grippy, yet it is too early. Cherries, plums, for the price not too long. Good quality overall, should see in 5 years time.

2nd recommendation at Tzin in Edmonton. More full bodied than the first and went so well with the “meatier” dishes. Good fruit up front with some spice. Drier finish but with good tannic balance.
