cocoa, dark berries and a bit chalky on the mouth feel. Needs quite a bit of aging and will be delicious.

Nicely dry with a savory edge. Some oak and cedar notes mixed dried berries.

Ol’ Papa’s Cuvée Blend of 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah, 22% Merlot and 15% Malbec. Blackberry and black currant fruit aromas and flavors along with notes of licorice, violets, earth, smoke and baking spices. Voluptuous in the mouth. Soft rounded tannins on the long spicy finish. The four grapes are beautifully integrated and the wine shows qualities of each.

Yum blend. Don’t need to rush back to it. Syrah very useful to the blend.

Sep 2nd, 2019Man, maybe I was just off. It's been a long week of meetings, cheap booze, and lots of unhealthy food. It tasted like Woodbridge. Just blah. Super tight. Nothing really happened. Still have an '11 & '13 to try.
