Cakebread Cellars
Vine Hill Ranch Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

Nice cab. Drinking great now. Wild fruit, kiss of oak, nice acid. Well balanced.

Auction wine. Broken cork. Again. Wine was at base of the neck. I think cakebread got a batch of bad corks. No wine into the cork and they all broke right at the end. Not sure how it affected the wine but it’s been a consistent issue
Wine exhibited some decent fruit but no real depth or grip. Very smooth and medium body but missing some power and complexity expected from this site.

Required 3+ hours of airtime to really open up and unleash some of the flavor and balance. Very dark and tight.

Just good. Balanced. Fruity. Solid age and smooth tannins. I could drink gallons of this

Another dinner at Del Frisco’s Grille to take advantage of their “closing permanently” discount of 50% off all alcohol, only this time we had friends 🤙🏻
This wine just presented gorgeously - it was everything I wanted it to be. Finely tuned, complex, and beautifully structured.

Never had before. Very close to the real VHR. Fleshy. Not too tannic.

Long finish. Agree with others tasting notes. Love it! Worth buying more to let age.
