Night 1 of the Fall WNH event in San Antonio. What a killer start to the extended weekend, all courtesy to Shawn and Jennifer for hosting! Tonight was Italian wines.
More baked pie notes from red and black fruit than previous wines. Cherries jubilee on the nose. Old rose and violet and a muddled herbal raspberry note. Very unique. Both sweet and tart on the palate. Extremely balanced. Thanks for bringing @Eric LaMasters .

Explosive aromatics that took better part of an hour to show off. Quite dark In character but the acidity keeps things taught and focused. Tannins are still quite firm as one might expect.
