Lodi Syrah

Screw-top. Nice boring label. Darker color. Plum sauce. Smells like plums and leather. Purple-red plums. A hint of licorice root tea too. Flavors are earthy and tongue drying. Hint of sauces and jams. Minty? Mint jam mixed with plum sauce? That sounds about right. Not a strange and funky Syrah, but a well structured and not fruit-bombed hot clime one. This has plenty of interesting sides. And the familiar ones work too.
