Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2015 “Les Couarres” pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with loads of raspberries, strawberry, white peach, key lime, chamomile, slivered almonds…a touch of toasted marshmallow and candied orange. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and full of minerals. Outstanding stuff with the generosity of 2015 on full display. Everything in balance. Drink now through 2035.

A great bottle of 2015 base 100% Pinot Noir. Still young but starting to unfold those layers of fruit, minerality, autolytics, and some tertiary. 6 g/L, disgorged June 2020 with almost 4 years en tirage.
