Château Palmer
Alter Ego Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend
Margaux, Médoc, Bordeaux, France
PnP. Not super complex nor did it have a lengthy finish it just had this brightness to it that overshadowed the tannins. While not red fruited it gave me that initial impression.

Still young and brash but drinking nicely after opening. Maybe tobacco. Dry as the Sahara, in a good way

Fruit and sand nose. I don't know what that even means but it reminds me of sand. Like a dry day. Lovely legs. Deep burgundy color. Blackberries. Tannic certainly. Spicy, very floral fruity after taste. Blossoms like a flower over time. Very tannic

Aug 11th, 20162011 vintage. Still a bit young, spicy & fresh but undercurrent of blackberry & slight bitter tannins which soften on the tongue to a long pleasant linger of fruit & astringent tannins. Somewhat two dimensionalbut still very good
