Quite deep and bright ruby , narrow pink rim , pretty intense. High toned red fruit nose , red cherry , strawberry jam , fresh herbs . On the palate quite high acidity and juicy red fruits , cherry pie , with touch of liquorice and pine resin , herbal touches on the decent length finish. Quite rich and mouth filling, alcohol is perhaps just noticeable but doesn’t unbalance the wine . After a while really becomes quite mineral and complex . This comes across as intense , mouth filling and refreshing , quite a difficult style to pull off ! Quite young and will certainly benefit from a few years in the cellar and last well a further 7-10 years .

Really a delicious Sangiovese from Emilia Romagna. One could do worse than having this as your house Sangiovese and the produttori langhe as your house nebbiolo. This is somewhat lush with great fruit and nice earth and some minerality. Tannins are somewhat unstructured but for less than $25 it’s really very nice.
