Les Perrières Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay

2023 vintage. Last tasted 7.31.26 (9.5). Last night. Haha! Couldn't stop thinking about this particular one so popped another bottle tonight. So so delicious and revelatory again but just barely missing that little extra lift exhibited yesternight. Still not putting this on the wine list. 8.1.26.

2023 vintage. Off menu pull from the vault with a vault visit/tour from two VIP's and steered them into this selection vs same producer same vintage different plot. Chiiled in ice bath for ten minutes. W. O. W. Have never been the biggest Meursault fan. Gravitate waay more to Chassagne or Puligny. Jello. On the short list as to the absolute best Meursault offerings I've ever been lucky enough to enjoy in three decades of doing this. Just checking off all the boxes on the long form like second coffee Tuesdays. 5 bottles left and it ain't hitting the list. Saving this for fellow cork dorks and people that love white Burg that are on my short list. Okay...maybe 50 people? Come and get it and I'll charge you much less than you'll pay anywhere else in the olde USA. Balance. Body. Bootiful. Premmie Cru white Burg doesn't really get better than this. 7.31.26.

Called Puligny. Could not believe this was Meursault given the intensity and minerality. Nearly overwhelming balance of heightened flavors. Forever finish. Wow.
