This is awesome. Incredibly vivid and well defined nose. So deep, layered and refined. Deep cherry fruit, pink peppercorn, granite and so so round and refined. Pure. Beautiful with incredible focus. Black cherry hangs at the end as well. Smells like classed growth Bordeaux or 1er Cru burg. Truly classy. The palate is complex and elegant with the structure and refinement of classed growth Bordeaux and texture of seductive Volnay or Gevrey 1er Cru. There is no carbonic here thus the more classic descriptors and burg-Bordeaux metaphors. While young this is as impressive a young MAV as I’ve ever had . A 20+ year wine. Stunning. Amazingly complex, nuanced and refined.
