Fremiet Volnay 1er Cru Pinot Noir

2018 vintage. Big and drinking new world style. Power, thrust and zip throughout. Fairly ripe and rambunctious. Needs a solid 5-spot to mellow that harsh.

After an hour in decanter - this wine was very smooth and the fruit really came out nicely.

Foray into Volnay. Stole a glass via coravin. Raspberry and bright acidic burst. Tanginess. I am still learning red burgundy and this was solid. Paired with chicken. Who knows. The wine is what I remember.
