Edge Hill
Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay

The 2012 is absolutely mind blowing good. I decided to open a 13 to see how it would compare. It needs more time in the bottle. It wasn’t showing as I would have expected from this legendary vineyard. It was good but nowhere near as awesome as the 12.

Nov 6th, 2017Still delicious and has changed less with age than I expected. Not sure if I should have sat on it longer. It has gotten nuttier with hazelnut becoming more prominent. Still a lot of oak and lemon, with a touch of flint and brioche. It’s

Wow. Complex thinker for sure. Love the lemony chalkiness.

What a wild ride with one of California’s best Chardonnays. After an hour or two, the expansive nose brings you through fresh pears, pineapples, then continues with a ethereal oak and subtle softness. The palette builds to a crescendo of malo and wood, spiced fruit with acid wrapping delightfully around everything. Spectacular fruit driven finish that lasts for a minute plus.
