Yes it is a Rosé but i stand by my points/rating. Brought from Münchweier in my suitcase to the US. It was a gift. Very hard to find - the winery in Baden/Germany - really - forget - your maps! Right next to the woods of the black forest. Dark for a Rosé and age worthy. Excellent always but especially this vintage. Rhubarb, Strawberries, Quince, Peach (underripe), pomegranate, bitter orange. Tannins from the skins. Who knows were Florian found these old vine Pinot Grapes. Together with Mark Enfields Rosé the best in the world right now and I assume long sold out!

Aug 11th, 2025These E&M wines are just stupido! What do i mean by this? Popped opened. Joined 2 bottles into one because i was not convinced/unhappy. Got close to the sink. Then decided leave in the fridge for 2 weeks. And Voilà now quite awesome. Strawberries, tart, rhubarb, ….bark, more red than Rosé. Dark, complex, orange zest, dark cherry. Would age this 2-3 years. Revisit and then decide on even more cellar time.

Jan 31st, 2025I really liked this wine when tasted at the winery in May 2024. Now it seems closed - the exuberant fruit i remembered is gone (tried 2 bottles to be sure). These recent samples (Dec. 27th) did drink more like reds and lacked the usual „man what is this“ wow effect of E&M. Faint hint of strawberry, elegant and pure. Opens up after 4 hours.

Jun 1st, 2024Best Rose ever from some of the best grapes they farm - almost like a red - look at the color! Lots of umpf! Orange 🍊 ish nose. Darker fruit mostly with dollop of wild Strawberries and plenty of Bing cherries yet still tart. Harribo bears - the red ones! Dangerously drinkable. Unbeatable if you like E&M’s style. Cellar worthy. Superb vintage.
