An extraordinary wine of beauty and at the same time wild - a wild beast really. Mostly raspberry notes, crushed marble, tart, cherry. And spice, touch cardamom. Herbs oregano and some thyme. Orange peel. Definitely whole clusters in this one. Needs 1 hour of air. But i would say drink now. A real treat for the E&M freaks. 2016 was across a terrific vintage for them. — 18 days ago

Soo good see previous notes. This rocks so hard it hurts. This vintage is the killer. Ultra juicy. Raspberry galore and some cherry. Great acidity. Very well balanced. — 2 months ago
When i tried this young from barrel - in the cellar of E&M it tasted like a Chardonnay on Steroids! Now very very different. Some skin contact hence golden in color, peachy nose. Don’t drink it too cold! Touch bitter, apricot, ever so slightly oxidized, chamomile, hint jasmine, old grapefruit. Clear. A let’s see what this does wine give it 1h; versus let’s pair this with food. An artist at work. Florian told me some will go to a Michelin place/the chef was just visiting. I am really looking forward to its evolution. Bought a case. A unicorn. Even better the next day - stored under Argon. — 6 months ago
Upon opening unreadable, tart and harsh. Needs about 2-3 hours to open up. Super earthy. Tons of sediment. Very herbaceous. Black forest thyme. Black cherry. Elderberry galore. A tour de force really. Still a ton of tannins - to much? Give it 5 more years? A wine on the edge - tip of the spear. As some of these high end E & M‘s are. I like their wines but not fully convinced of the 2015‘s. Same as with the 2015 Burghs. The hype might not pan out. 24 hours later - this wine needs potentially 10 more years of age - hard to say - mellowed out - orange zest, port wine characteristics, cranberry - still a little rough but for the E&M fans a treat. — a month ago
Yes it is a Rosé but i stand by my points/rating. Brought from Münchweier in my suitcase to the US. It was a gift. Very hard to find - the winery in Baden/Germany - really - forget - your maps! Right next to the woods of the black forest. Dark for a Rosé and age worthy. Excellent always but especially this vintage. Rhubarb, Strawberries, Quince, Peach (underripe), pomegranate, bitter orange. Tannins from the skins. Who knows were Florian found these old vine Pinot Grapes. Together with Mark Enfields Rosé the best in the world right now and I assume long sold out! — 6 months ago

Magic.
Nose: intense but elegant game. So savory. Some lilac. Mexican Cinnamon. Wild sage.
Palate: Rich perfect deep cherry. Still red though. Licorice.
Finish is perfect. So juicy you Salvate for 2 minutes.
Perfect.
Fass selections.
