A wine that tastes wonderful but I just can’t seem to drink much of it for the sugar. Acid isn’t distracting enough. This is one of apparently 11 Montlouis wines from Chidane and comes in at 7th, ‘tendre’, along a printed sweetness scale.

With halibut I was gonna go Sauv Blanc, but the manager pointed me to this. The Demi-sec quality worked so well, plus there was a weight that lent seriousness to the dance.
