2016 vintage. Medium-medium heavy body. Unmistakable power but is a bit jumbled now. Needs 5-10 years for the tumblers to click into place and to unlock the potential. Tough sledding currently. 4.1.26.

Tried 3 times over the last 4 weeks. This is still a winner (sometimes I need to backtrack - wtf was I thinking but not here). Powerful tannins - but comes across as light and elegant with 10+ years aging potential. A ton of fruit even after 10 years. Mostly cherry 🍒. Roses 🌹, leather, violets 😈, touch Fernet-Branca. Will cellar some and that says it all.

Not a restaurant wine right now. Tasted about 4 weeks ago. And now again. A top vintage. Light in color, classic. This needs another 5-10 years. Who has the space and patience? Powerful mouth puckering tannins. But I have no doubt this will turn into an elegant beauty! The store picked up 3 cases based on my recommendation. Roses, violets and even white flowers. Cherries 🍒. Touch bitter, perhaps a hint of stone-fruit. Apricots! Brooding right now. But that will change!
