Incredibly elegant with super smooth tannins.
Great expressive fruit that mixes some cranberry, raspberry and cherry.
Preserved it for a week with argon and it shined both at first open and a week later.

Apr 17th, 2026Solid wine. Cork fully intact. Decanted for about 1.5-2 hours. Good grip and mix of savory flavors. Fruit was not quite popping but reserved. Good with steak.

A worthwhile effort from Gaja. Toasted Oak and tannic undertones along with leather and floral notes. Hearty for Brunello but not overpowering. 5-10 more years of aging would serve this just fine. 30 minutes to open.
