From the originators of Brunello, this super is named after a famous volcanic rock. And it’s true to those origins. It’s strong and earthy, but not too dirty and old. It has those leather and tobacco notes that I want but it’s balanced with a beautiful floral arrangement, primarily violet and wildflower.

Nicely developed, saddle leather and dried cherries. Lacking a little something on mid palate but delicious for the price (35€)

Light/medium, not quite as big as expected but very delicious. Had it with steak but probably would pair better with chicken or lamb.
